After you have attended and left feedback for an event, you will have the option to indicate if the other attendees were strong matches and add them as friends if you choose.
We created the "friend" feature in the app specifically so members would have an easier way of sharing their contact information with each other. We want to offer an alternative to carrying business cards to every Base event, or pulling out phones in the middle of a conversation.
Friends by default will be able to see the phone number and email address associated with your Base account. They can also opt in to receive notification about which events their friends are attending.
You can edit what information is shared with your friends in the Base app:
Open the Base app
Select your profile at the bottom
Tap the settings gear in the top right.
Select "Settings" from the menu.
You should see the option to toggle whether you want to share your email, phone number, or event attendance with Base members that you friend.
